Innisfree It's Real Avocado Mask

At the airport in Seoul, I admit that I went a little crazy stocking up on sheet masks due to the mental alarms in my head (Last chance for Korean products! Buy two get one free!). And I ended up hauling a huge bag onboard as my carry-on... all full of skincare.

Innisfree is a Korean brand that boasts natural ingredients, supporting fair trade in Jeju and using organic local elements. You can learn more from their website here

This picture makes me crave guacamole. Every time.
The "it's real avocado mask" is "infused with the blend of herb complex water and ingredients from nature." This mask is supposed to help add vitality and energy to your skin.
I think I'm too jaded, but honestly, typing these descriptions up makes me chuckle sometimes. It's not cool to make fun, but really? What is herb complex water? And adding energy to my skin? Why can't they call a spade a spade and use more straight-forward terms like "brighten"?

Guessing that the top layer of this mask is made of... artificial silk? And the rest of the mask layer will remain a mystery.
All jokes aside, the serum that the mask is soaked in is very hydrating. A bit sticky, but still very moisturizing.
(I smeared the rest of the special sauce onto dry areas of my body. My gleaming knees and elbows are now thanking me. )

I always keep sheet masks on until they dry out. After I peel it off, my face is super shiny and glistening with the serum. I don't think this mask is the best for my combination skin... perhaps it would work better for drier complexions or drier climates. I would probably use this again when the weather is colder, but until then, this mask is probably too moisturizing and may overwhelm my skin.

Overall: 3.5 / 5
Repurchase? Surprisingly, yes! I imagine this product would be great for the upcoming drier season... very hydrating and the shape of the mask fits surprisingly well for my face. Normally the shape of sheet masks don't bother me, as I usually tear larger holes to make sure I can open my eyes, but it's always nice if no DIY is needed.
Note: I originally rated this product a 4, but I discovered soon after that the serum never fully absorbed onto my skin and while it was hydrating, I felt like it was sitting on top of my face rather than sinking in. I woke up with a VERY oily face, and while I did not develop any pimples (phew), it was still a greasy experience. I would still use this product, but only in very dry climates.
