Review: The Face Shop Black Head Dual Nose Sheet

I hate the term "black heads". It brings to mind gross oily blackholes of dirt and gunk- I will stop here. Alas, my dislike for the term does not make me immune to the actual thing itself :(

Which brings me to The Face Shop's dual nose sheets. I LOVED Biore's pore sheets when I was a kid-the tearing off and examination of the disgusting stuff stuck on the black strips afterwards... good memories. I was devastated when I found out that this type of extraction method actually increases your pores because the tearing off of the strips rips your pores open.
STEP ONE strip on left (cloth sheet soaked in product), STEP TWO strip on left (cooling gel sheet)

So I thought my relationship with nose strips ended there...until The Face Shop came up with these sheets! These nose sheets don't remove those black dots by forceful means.. in fact, the liquid-soaked STEP ONE strip gently opens your pores with natural flower and plant extracts, allowing all the oily grossness to seeep out... so I can clean up my nose with a clean Q-Tip. I then apply the cool gel-strip that is STEP TWO and the gel helps close up and calm my nose-pores.

I was skeptical that this would work because I was very doubtful that natural plant extracts could coax out the horrors that are firmly embedded in my skin :( I was surprised! I could see that the STEP ONE strip was working and that my Q-Tip was picking up what was originally in my nose. STEP TWO was very relaxing and felt lovely on my slightly red nose.

Overall: this is a great and gentle way to extract blackheads on my nose! I was disappointed there was no satisfying peel-off action involved but this is much better for my pores in the long run. Recommended.
