NARS Multiple in Maldives: Bronzey Goodness in a Tube

I've always thought the Multiple was a genius idea. No brushes, no messy packaging, just multipurpose, creamy product in a stick. I bought Maldives online awhile ago (interpretation: a couple years back) and thought that a brown shade would be more practical as I could try out its "multipurpose" claim.

The packaging is always so important, and I think the multiple is great for travelling and great for a quick easy transformation, albeit a bit dusty (the material gets dirty very easily). And behold the swatch! I think the swatch doesn't really showcase how sparkly the product really is... it's a golden bronze sparkly shimmer with a creamy and blendable consistency. 

Look at the product in the tube! It really does come out like that. I thought I could use this as a bronzer/contour, but it's too sparkly. If used on the cheek area, I have to be very careful and treat it more as a highlighter.

I do use this as an eyeshadow, and it is a great shimmery neutral shade to highlight the eyes. Downside: because it's not made to be an eyeshadow, the creamy formula creases easily and I have to prime my eyelids.

This is branded as a multipurpose product, but I don't love it as a bronzer or eyeshadow... and it is definitely too drying for the lips. However, I do think the shade is gorgeous and I like to apply this on my shoulders in the summer for a great glow on the skin. I look at the colour and it just reminds me of tropical lazy days on the beach. This would most definitely be the first product I would put in my bag for a summer getaway.

This is one of those products I want so badly to love but I just can't bring myself to feel that way about it. It is so good on paper-creamy, lovely shade, great colour payoff... but it just doesn't transition that well on the face.
Repurchase? No, but there is so much in the tube that I genuinely think that this will last forever.
